RPG Group to roll out speciality home solutions stores selling funiture, furnishing and home decorative items

RPG Group’s retail flagship, Spencer’s Retail is planning to make a major foray into speciality retailing. The company, which recently made a soft entry with standalone consumer electronic outlets, is now exploring the option of rolling out speciality home solutions and apparel stores.

Typically, the home solutions and the apparel speciality stores will be set up over 10,000 sq ft. The home solutions outlets will sell furniture, furnishing and other home decorative items. On the other hand, the apparel stores will be multi-brand outlets with a greater focus on private labels.

Currently, Spencer’s runs four retail formats — Spencer’s Hyper, Spencer’s Super, Spencer’s Daily and Spencer’s Express. It has also rolled out two speciality consumer electronic stores, christened Spencer’s Electronic in Hyderabad and Pune.
